Chet Watkins spends Friday nights developing grounded, high energy, relationship based improv theater. Come see the group that Improvisation News calls “Exciting and Hilarious…with great character work, using every inch of the stage.”
This Friday will begin our run and we couldn’t be more excited to be playing on a new night. If you drop by the Magnet Theater on the 5th we promise you will have a good time. Great comedy and afterwards we will be partying it up at Billy Mark’s West (thanks for hosting our party!).

Announcement: Chet Watkins on Friday Nights!
22 10 2010Starting on Friday November 5th, Chet Watkins will no longer by apart of the Wednesday night Megawatt lineup.
Instead, we will be taking the stage in our own hour long Friday night show, every week at 8:00pm! That means longer sets, cheap beers, more convenient weekend time and joining a nightly line up with amazing improv comedy groups like Taco Supreme and the long running Made Up Musical.
Make reservations now and be ready to have a full night out as we will be hosting a after party at Billy Mark’s West on 9th Avenue and 29th Street. Our last Megawatt show will be with Phooka next Wednesday the 27th, so be sure not to miss that either!

Show on Thursday This Week – And Laura Grey!
29 09 2010This week we are changing it up a bit. We are NOT performing tonight at Megawatt. Instead we will be joining veteran Magnet team Junior Varsity for a Thursday night show at 10pm! Chet Watkins will also be guesting at the Thursday Night Mixer. So if you want to get on stage and do some scenes with us show up early at 6:30pm and stay the whole night and see every show for a mere $5. Two great teams, free pizza, improv mixer, laughs, what could be better?
Well… there could be one thing to make it better. Laura Grey (LauraOnLaura) could perform with us in tomorrow’s show. What you say? That is indeed happening?! Oh my! Laura Grey is a native Chicago area acclaimed improviser and performer. In Chicago, Laura wrote and performed two original revues for the Second City Etc and performed in the ensembles at IO theater (formerly Improv Olympic,) The Annoyance, Comedy Sportz Chicago, and the improvised musical Baby Wants Candy.
Simply put… don’t miss this!

Make your Reservations now! The past two weeks NY Pizza Suprema provided free pizza. Will they do it again? We are actually not sure but let’s be honest, the mere chance of getting free pizza should get you off the couch tonight.
