Chris Camp began improvising in 2003 at Marist College with a group named the HuMarists. In 2005 he moved to NYC and studied improv at the Upright Citizen Brigade and then at the Magnet Theater under the highly regarded Armando Diaz, Ed Herbstman, James Eason, Alex Marino and Jodi Lennon. Chris has had the privilege to perform in some great shows at the Magnet including Gimmie the Loot, To Be Continued, the Armando Diaz Experience, The Lone Gunman, I Love NY/I Hate NY, Prone To Injury, Jerk Squad, The Inferno, and Inspirado. Karsten Cross
has been performing and writing comedy in New York City for the past eight years. Remind him of that and you’ll see a darkness strangle the joy in his eyes. Karsten performs regularly at several improv theaters in New York City, including the Magnet Theater, PIT, and Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. Karsten is a proud member of the veteran Magnet house team, Chet Watkins, the formidable comedy trio, Mr. Gorsky, and The Striking Viking Story Pirates, among others. Kelly Kreye is a comedic actor from Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada who now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Kelly has been performing for seven years studying extensively with Armando Diaz (I.O., Second City, Annoyance, P.I.T) and Jean Villepique (Curb Your Enthusiasm, I.O., Second City Touring Co., How I Met Your Mother). He is a member of Hell Buffalo and Chet Watkins. You can also find him with his buddy Michael Kroll doing weird things in the ‘no adjective to describe’ duo Sneaky Beatings.
Christian Paluck has been performing Comedy in New York City for the past 10 years. A company member of Chet Watkins, and a regular at at the Magnet Theater, Christian recently performed for Laurie Metcalf of the sitcom “Roseanne” in a staged version of the show – and you know what she said – “You were great.” That’s what. This summer he put up his one man show ‘It’s Just Me’, for a sold out audience. He’s performed on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as a featured ensemble sketch performer, pretend stage hand and Chauffeur. In addition to impov, he’s performed in film, video and done Stand-Up at Gotham Comedy Club and Caroline’s on Broadway. Christian is simply chomping at the bit for a return to the American small screen.
Jana Schmieding is a public school teacher by day and comedic actor by…day. She has been a member of Pour Babies Musical Improv and Absolute Improv in Oregon and is an active member of Chet Watkins in NYC. Jana took classes at the Magnet Theater and was a member of Les Encompentent sketch group from 2007-2009.
Justin Peters is a writer and performer in New York. His most recent one-man shows, “How to Tape Things off the Radio” and “Confessions of a Condiment Hustler,” were met with confusion and indifference by the Manhattan theater community. He grew up on Chicago’s North Shore and is a proud member of SEIU Local 1.
A Queens, NY native, John Roukis is a proud New York City high school English teacher, two-time winner of the “New York’s Funniest Teacher Award” for stand-up comedy (Gotham Comedy Club and Stand-Up NY) and an improv comedy performer.
John began studying improv at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in 1998 under the likes of Armando Diaz, Amy Poehler, and Ian Roberts. He performed on several UCB Harold Teams (Val-U-Pack, Ice-9 and C.H.U.D. (coached by Rob Corddry). He also regularly appeared in the improvised wrestling show, Piledriver (directed by Billy Merrit), and the two-person sketch show, Good Times, with Jessica Allen (directed by Patrick McCartney). John was also a member of the improv group, Plan B (Kurt Braunohler, Mike Gold, Dave Sepulveda, Dan Shaw and Jen Nails), and Adhesive (directed by Centralia’s Matt Higgins).
After taking a break from improv for a few years, John returned in 2005 and studied once again under Armando Diaz at the Magnet Theater, as well with Jean Villepique and James Eason. While at the Magnet Theater, John has performed in The Evente, The Armando Diaz Experience and on the Megawatt house teams, Dynasty, The Imposters and currently Chet Watkins.
A Portland Oregon native, Lauren Olson has been studying, writing and performing comedy in New York since 2005. She has worked with Armando Diaz, Ed Herbstman, Rachel Hamilton, Gary Rudoren and Christian Cappozzoli to name a few. She’s been a member of several sketch and improv groups and performs weekly at the Magnet Theater with her Megawatt improv team Dunk and sketch group Good Morning, Ladies. Her solo show Our Condolences, which she wrote and performed, was part of the 2010 NYC International Fringe Festival. She has acted in Channel 101 Pilots, long-form improv TV pilot The Armando Diaz Experience and has performed in the Toronto Combustion Festival, the Vancouver International Improv Festival, Hold For The Laughs, and The Del Close Marathon.
